We finally found a camp site in Tony Grove that we totally think it’s the best site there!  After three years of searching.  Our site had a roomy parking lot off the main road.  You can probably park four cars tightly.  It’s next to a flush-able bathroom, so it doesn’t smell.  We had a hike trail and an easy access to the lake near us…. We only had to put up with one noisy neighbor on one side, above us.  Wow! It’s the Perfect site, what else can you ask for!

You can easy setup 4-5 tents in our site.  They are also dog friendly, so you don’t have to leave you best friend at home.  The first morning we camp, we went fishing and caught some tasty rainbow trout for breakfast.  I was trying out this new green wet fly I got from Sportsman warehouse, and man it did the job.  Powerbait and worms are for babies!

The kid love the hiking trail around the lake, They even got there legs wet by walking in the lake.  Next time we will try to hike up the Naomi Peak, which I heard it wasn’t to bad, only 3.3 miles one way.  We didn’t have room for our kayak, but next year we will be sure to make room.

Also Tony Grove is so close to Bear Lake that we took a field trip for a nice swim and for their famous raspberry shake.  Location, Location, Location….that’s what makes Tony Grove one of the best camping area in Utah!

Tony Grove Campground is far one of the most beautiful camp we been to.  They are known for great fishing and breathtaking wild flowers!  Also every time we come we also guarantee to see some wild life.  We usually see some moose, but this time we saw a deer with some antlers, chipmunk and hawks.  So don’t forget your camera…. I packed my Nikon D7000 with 50mm lens for this trip and was set.  I was trying for some nightsky photo-shoot, but it was cloudy/ full moon the whole time,  It finally rain the last night there.

We definitely will return every year!  So if you haven’t been there, than you should try it.  It’s also a great place for backpacking.
