Tony Grove Campground is one of our family favorite campsite to visit.  Its known for tall pine trees, paint-brushed wild flowers, hiking trails, some rock climbing and a beautiful lakes for fishing.  Just a heads up if you like a campsite that is secluded don’t pick campsite #32, instead go for site 16B, trust me on this one!

Have dogs, no problem.  Its also one of the place were its dog friendly!  And if you are one of those people, yes they have flushable toilets, but make sure to bring your own drinking water.

Whatever you do don’t forget to pack hand Sanitizer.  We realize we forgot it when both of our kids got sick and then we have to leave a day early.  My 4 year old boy Micah, had a fever and yet he still insisted on me taking him fishing.  So we did, we caught a small Rainbow trout and that made his whole day!

Camping open the doors to night photography, so many star and less light pollution.  I had my D7000 with Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 for night and landscape shots and the  Nikon 50mm f/1.4G  for portraits.

Also if you get bored of camping, Bear Lake is 30 mins away, the best place to get a raspberry shake on the planet.  This is one of our highlights, We stopped and got a raspberry shake with frys and let the kids play at Bear Lake before we headed home.
