Here are some backpacking gear we tried and own.  I really like the Teton Sports Scout 3400 Internal Frame Backpack (Hunter Green).  It’s a 55L so it has plenty of room for all your gear.  My favorite features are the adjustable, padded shoulder straps.  It has a outside strap for a sleeping bag or tent.  It comes with a lots of outside pockets for my fishing poles.  One of my favorite features is the inside pocket for a 3 Liter (100 ounce) Hydration Pack Bladder Water Bag Pouch Backpack(sold separately) .  It also comes with a rain-cover as a bonus.

I took it camping around Tony Grove and it was nice to have a pack that snug nicely to your back and it very comfortable.

And oh the best part is it only cost around $70.  You would probably pay over $200 for this size and all the feature if you go with a  bigger brand name.

This TETON Sports TrailHead +20 Degree F Ultralight Sleeping Bag  only weights 2.9lbs  It comes with a regular bag cover, so you will need a compression bag to get it smaller.  It kept me warm up in the mountain near Tony Grove through wind and rain, so i recommended it.  Cost only $60.

The Nemo Hornet 2P Ultralight Backpacking Tent, Wow, this tent is super light about 5lbs 2lbs.  I recommend getting a two man backpacking tent vs the one man, because when it rains you can also put your backpack and other gear inside from the rain.  Super roomy, comfortably and will keep you dry all night.  Also if you take your wife, she doesn’t have to pack- in a tent.  It also has two doors, so you don’t have to climb over the other person to get out.  This tent cost: $370.  But it’s worth it, I challenge you to find something of this quality and lightweight for cheaper, if you find one let me know.
